Our journey began in 1923, when Adolf Ehmann, a master mechanic, left his well-paid position to establish a small mechanical workshop in Köngen near Stuttgart. Little did he know that this humble beginning would lead to the globally recognized brand that ALUP is today. Today, ALUP is a global brand recognized around the world.

Our legacy of innovation is deeply embedded in our DNA. In 1925, just two years after our founding, we developed our very first piston compressor. This was a significant step forward in the world of compressed air technology. Over the years, we continued to push the boundaries of innovation, introducing multi-stage piston compressors, mobile compressors, and various accessories to cater to diverse industrial needs.

However it was in 1978 that we made a groundbreaking move by launching our first line of rotary screw compressors. This innovation revolutionized the industry, setting the stage for our continuous evolution.

In 1990, we took another leap forward by introducing variable speed drive (VSD) compressors to our product portfolio. These compressors set new standards in energy efficiency, significantly reducing operating costs and minimizing our environmental footprint. We were not content with resting on our laurels; we continued to expand our offerings with water-injected screw compressors.

What hasn’t changed during all those years of expansion is our commitment to excellence, to our customers and to sustainable compressed air solutions.

In 2017, we expanded our services with our unique ALUP service concept, ensuring that our customers receive the utmost care and support. We opened service branches across Germany to be closer to our customers and meet their evolving needs.

In 2021, we expanded our offerings to include project business and special solutions, allowing us to provide comprehensive compressed air systems tailored to our customers' specific requirements. Our skid solutions offer flexibility, and our use of modern 3D drawings ensures that every detail is perfected before implementation.

In 2022, we proudly introduced a new range of oil-free rotary and screw models to our extensive product portfolio. Our Evoluto series, available from 7.5 to 160 kW starting in 2023, fills the last gap in our range of machines with permanent magnet motors.

Now we're not just looking back on our 100th year; we're setting our sights on the future.
