Apply to the emissions reduction with our VSD compressor technology

Many industrial systems operate under variable demand, where inefficient control can drive unnecessary energy use.

The NSW Government’s Low Emissions Industry Program (LEIP) supports projects that improve efficiency through better system control and proven technologies such as Variable Speed Drive (VSD) compressors.

Who can apply for the NSW funding?

The NSW Government’s Low Emissions Industry Program (LEIP) is targeted at NSW mining and manufacturing facilities that:

  • Reported emissions under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme for the 2024-25 financial year
  • Are not a Safeguard facility
  • Are planning projects with measurable energy and emissions reductions
  • Can implement proven, commercially available technologies

For full eligibility requirements, refer to the NSW Government LEIP funding guidelines.

Improve efficiency with variable speed control

Improve efficiency with variable speed control

Many industrial sites operate with fluctuating air demand. Traditional fixed-speed compressors continue running at full capacity, wasting energy. Variable Speed Drive (VSD) compressors adjust output in real time, improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary energy consumption.

Where VSD delivers the most value

VSD technology delivers the greatest benefits in environments such as:

  • Sites with fluctuating or variable demand
  • Systems running multiple compressors inefficiently
  • Operations with high part-load running time
  • Facilities targeting measurable energy reduction outcomes

Types of projects for applying to the funding

To be eligible for LEIP funding, projects should focus on improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions across industrial operations. Examples of eligible project types related to compressed air include:

  • Facility retrofits and equipment upgrades
  • Industrial process improvements
  • Waste heat recovery
  • Electrification and fuel switching

How our solutions align with LEIP

Oil-free & oil-injected compressors (SPR/WIS/OF, VSD)

Supports LEIP category: Fuel switching

  • Adjust output based on real-time demand
  • Reduce energy consumption during partial load operation
  • Can deliver up to 45% energy savings compared to fixed-speed systems
  • Improve system stability and control

Energy recovery systems

Supports LEIP category: Waste heat recovery

  • Capture up to 90% of compressor energy and convert it into usable heat
  • Reduced overall site energy demand
  • Improve total system efficiency

Compressed air optimisation & monitoring (AIRchitect analysis, leak detection, ICONS monitoring)

Supports LEIP category: Facility retrofits

  • Identifies inefficiencies across the compressed air system
  • Improve control, pressure management and overall system performance
  • Support measurable energy and emissions reductions

A more precise approach to energy efficiency

Improving how compressed air is delivered, not just how much, can significantly reduce energy consumption.

Our solutions focus on precision control, helping systems operate more efficiently under real-world conditions.

How we can support your LEIP project

We support customers in identifying practical opportunities to improve compressed air efficiency and align projects with LEIP funding requirements. This may include:

  • Assess system demand and performance
  • Identify opportunities for VSD upgrades
  • Estimate energy and emissions reduction
  • Support planning for LEIP-aligned upgrades
