Dust that is sucked into the compressor significantly affects the performance and service life of the machine. The absence of suction air filtration can cause damage to the screw block. This is why it is imperative that the compressor suction already ensures filtration, preventing the ingress of dust particles larger than 10 µm. For this, two-stage filtration is usually used in the form of filter mats placed at the compressor inlet and suction filters through which air is sucked into the compressor block.
The compressed air leaving a compressor contains dust particles and oil aerosols. Depending on the required compressed air quality, the compressed air must be cleaned from these substances using special filters. You can find six different types of filters here at ALUP, each differ in their ability to filter not only dust particles, but also oil aerosols. ALUP filters are available in 18 sizes and 6 series and can be used to achieve the highest quality (Class 1).
An important parameter for selecting a suitable filter is the pressure drop. The pressure drop should be as small as possible and not exceed 0.25 bar. Our ALUP filters have a maximum pressure drop of 0.125 bar.
The easiest way to remove the condensation from the filters is to use floats, which are a common part of each filter. On our ALUP filters you will find unique condensate traps that can remove up to 99% accumulated moisture with a minimum pressure loss of 50-60 mbar.
